LUDIOSIS Set to Release New Single “Overcomplicated”

Norfolk-based solo project LUDIOSIS is set to release its new single “Overcomplicated” on 28 September 2026. Following the previous release “Addicted to Failure”, the new track combines riff-driven hard rock with strong melodic hooks and layered vocal harmonies.

“Overcomplicated” continues to build on LUDIOSIS’ guitar-focused sound while pushing further into melodic and accessible territory. The track blends driving hard rock reminiscent of Foo Fighters with Queen-inspired vocal harmonies, before opening up through a soaring bridge and returning to its heavier guitar-driven stride.

Clocking in at 4:31, the song moves through muscular guitar sections, layered vocals and an immediate melodic hook while maintaining its momentum throughout.

When Life Gets Too Complicated

Lyrically, “Overcomplicated” focuses on the pressures and complications of everyday life and the importance of not allowing them to become overwhelming.

At the heart of the song is the idea of reconnecting with the sense of wonder, optimism and excitement that comes naturally during childhood. Rather than dwelling on the weight of everyday problems, the track encourages listeners to remain positive, open to possibilities and willing to rediscover some of that youthful sense of curiosity.

A One-Man Rock Project

LUDIOSIS is the solo project of Dan, a musician based in Norfolk, UK. He writes, performs, records and mixes the project’s material himself from his home studio.

With more than 30 years of experience in playing and songwriting, Dan’s music moves freely between melodic pop-rock, grunge, alternative rock and heavier, detuned guitar-driven territory. Despite the stylistic range, the guitar riff remains at the centre of the LUDIOSIS sound.

The project’s debut album “Falling in Time” explored a more melodic and pop-rock direction, while “The Light in Darkness” moved into darker and heavier territory. “Overcomplicated” continues that progression, combining the weight of LUDIOSIS’ rock foundations with a more immediate and melodic approach.
