Power metal giants DragonForce have officially unveiled a major new chapter in the band’s history, announcing that Alissa White-Gluz will join forces with longtime vocalist Marc Hudson for upcoming performances and future material. The move marks the first time the band has featured a female frontwoman in its lineup.

Best known for her decade-plus tenure with Arch Enemy, White-Gluz now steps into the high-speed world of DragonForce as the band prepares to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album, Inhuman Rampage.

Speaking about the lineup evolution, DragonForce co-founder and guitarist Herman Li described White-Gluz’s arrival as a transformative moment for the band.

“Alissa joining the band is an expansion of everything we’ve done up to this point,” Li explained. “Twenty years is a long time to survive in the music industry while still feeling inspired to push forward creatively. We want to celebrate what made Inhuman Rampage special while also showing fans where DragonForce is headed next. Alissa brings a completely new energy to the band not only vocally, but creatively across the board.”

White-Gluz also shared her excitement about entering DragonForce’s technically demanding universe, praising the musicianship and creative atmosphere surrounding the project.

“I’m incredibly excited to bring these iconic songs to life alongside such talented musicians,” she said. “This project allows me to explore every aspect of my vocal range and style through energetic, technically challenging music. I’m grateful for the support I’ve received throughout my career and look forward to delivering unforgettable music and live performances for the fans.”

The refreshed DragonForce lineup now features Herman Li and Sam Totman on guitars and backing vocals, Marc Hudson and Alissa White-Gluz sharing lead vocal duties, Alicia Vigil on bass, and Gee Anzalone behind the drums.

Fans will get their first taste of the new era when White-Gluz joins DragonForce on stage at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival as part of the band’s Inhuman Rampage anniversary celebrations. Additional tour dates are expected to be announced soon, while work is already underway on DragonForce’s tenth studio album.
