Marilyn Manson’s Brighton Concert Quietly Pulled Amid Public Backlash

30.06.2025 20:18

Marilyn Manson's scheduled performance in Brighton, UK has been discreetly cancelled following vocal opposition from local officials and advocacy groups for abuse survivors.

Ticketmaster notified fans on Saturday that the show had been called off and refunds were being processed.

Though Manson's summer tour announcement in April stirred controversy, few expected concrete action. However, pressure mounted when a British Member of Parliament issued a public appeal to the Brighton city council, requesting the cancellation based on past sexual misconduct allegations involving the artist. The letter, supported by several advocacy groups, expressed concern about the potential effect on residents and visitors to the city.

Supporters of Manson were quick to respond, arguing that no formal charges have ever been brought forward and labeling the cancellation as an act of censorship. Nonetheless, the Brighton date has been officially removed from the schedule.

It’s worth noting that one of the reasons Manson has not faced legal action is due to the expiration of the statute of limitations related to the allegations.

The cancelled Brighton show was set to kick off the European and UK leg of Manson’s "One Assassination Under God" tour. At this time, there’s no indication of whether additional UK dates will be affected.

Meanwhile, the North American segment of the tour is expected to proceed as planned. Below is the complete list of upcoming shows:
